A bespoke bedhead and bedside cabinets customised to neatly fit in alcove in a modern mews.
The client requested a low padded fabric bedhead with a 50s vibe, with wood that would exactly match the room divider which you can see to left of the photo.
She also requested steamed curved wall mounted handle less bedside cabinets.
The challenge was getting a design that looked good, matched my client’s requirements and filled the unusual space.
Working with my woodwork designer, we came up with a retro design that filled the whole alcove. The integrated bedside cabinets without handles contributed to a flush, neat look, in a tight specific alcove space.
Clients selected the fabric she wanted in terms of colour and the 50s vibe she wanted to generate. I advised on a satin, heavy with hardwearing capabilities.
Got an awkward space that could be transformed by some customised furniture, colour and materials?
Client also asked us to cover a very neat comfy sofa that she had already to sit in the adjoining dressing room. This brought the two spaces together, and it sits beautifully with the existing oak wood.
