Sleek, Easy on the Eye and Timeless
Brief from new client in relation to a small bathroom in an Apartment in Dublin 8.
With a very small bathroom, as the main bathroom in the apartment, this brief was very specific. So I had a good think about a few things.
Light with Storage
On my first visit I was immediately struck by the small compact space and the lack of storage, both in the bathroom and throughout the apartment.
So my goal was to provide a sleek timeless look, with a lot of glass and as much storage as I could.
Boxing in a toilet and a new modern vanity unit always give a sleek uncluttered look.
Modern, Sleek, Light Filled, Timeless
So we have chosen a nearly invisible shower screen, completely glass, with a low level shower tray, so the whole shower unit will look invisible.
We have chosen a dark grey vanity unit with drawers for easy access and storage, with a small space for a totally built in toilet cabinet.
Everything else will be chrome – which will all the mirrors will reflect light everywhere.

Full Width Mirror – Creating a Window
Across the entire unit, we are going with a built in storage cupboard, with mirrored doors to reflect light and space and give more storage. This also gives the illusion of a window in the bathroom – which has none.
For tiles we have chose a completely plain large porcelain taupe tile vertically hung, with 1 accent of horizontal tiles behind vanity unit.
Large Floor Tiles – Less Space – Less Clutter
On the floor we have chosen a very large dove coloured floor tile 90 x 90 – the low number of joins giving a feeling of space and size.
Everything else will be chrome – which will all the mirrors will reflect light everywhere.
