Sports Bags and Trainers Gone
Busy household with three male tall teenagers. Resulting in continuous trainers and bags all over the floors.
The staircase was from the 60s and creaked alarmingly. Had to be replaced. We replaced the staircase with contemporary design, allowing light to shine through – a very clean bright outcome.
Purpose Buit Understairs Storage
Then we purpose built the storage under the stairs, so that it pulled outwards because the family are tall.
We painted the walls a golden apple colour which was warm and crisp against the white woodwork.
We recarpeted the stairs in a darker apple olive carpet, and repaired existing wood floor.
The hall has been completely transformed and magically the sports bags and trainers are gone!
Sitting Room Makeover
We were also asked to help with a makeover in the Sitting Room. The biggest change and transformation in this room was the light that we brought in.
There had been full length nets curtains in the large 60s windows. We got rid of these, and put in bottom up blinds.
Bottom Up Blinds
These types of blinds exclude prying eyes from the room but allow light to stream in above waist level. We chose a netural white to blended with the frame.
We left special open spot in the middle so the dog still sits in his favourite spot and watches the world go by.
We painted the walls the same golden apple colour as the hallway and replaced the curtains with a soft contemporary lightly patterned autumn coloured cotton fabric.
These colours were chosen to uplift the existing furniture and brought the new blinds, curtains and wall colour together with some complimentary cushions.
We also replaced some bedroom carpets, and tidied up bits of paintwork in other rooms.
